My Failures

why?

While I always strive for excellence, I am human and make mistakes. Here are some of my failures and the lessons I have learned from them.

Sourcing Madness

Mistake: At 14 years old, I managed an import project of hundreds of custom promotional items from China to the United States. My lack of experience caused the goods to be stuck at customs for six months.

Lessons: Ask for help when chartering through unfamiliar territory. Hire a customs broker!

Nonprofit Promos

Mistake: Made a significant investment in custom technology, abandoned the build right before completion, and switched to a SaaS product.

Lessons: Thoroughly evaluate existing software before proceeding with a custom build.
